Winnicott y la perspectiva relacional en el psicoanálisis

Abstract

Winicott was a famous British paediatrician, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, who, altogether with Ferenczi, contributed significantly to the progress of psychoanalytic psychology after Freud.

He created concepts such as transitional experiences, the fake self in relation to the real self, the psychosomatic unity and, especially, the interaction of a child with its custodial person.

In Sáinz view, Winicott has to be considered a pioneer of what in our days is known as «the relational perspective in psychoanalysis»

The author explains in this book not only his own development of Winnicott insights, but also applies them to the practical field of psychotherapy.

He describes the importance of psychoanalytic psychology (in its relational meaning) when it comes to bring back normal life to a patient who is not in possession of himself, or when it comes to repair primary narcissistic disorders, or to live with strong emotions and use them productively, and how to recover through this the self-appreciation of ones’ own subjective authenticity.

This book is an approach to the interpersonal psychoanalysis of Winnicott, demonstrating that his discoveries are highly topical in the different practical fields of this knowledge; they can be useful for psychologist, psychiatrist, social workers and all kinds of people interested in mental, relational and artistic processes.

Abstract

Introduction and translation by Lola Ferre

Vol. I
Maimonides (Cordova 1138 – Cairo 1204) was a Jewish doctor, rabbi and philosopher of al-Andalus. By 1168 he was exiled to Egypt with his family, where he devoted himself to the practice of medicine and obtained a great prestige that took him to the service of the vizier’s court. He is undoubtedly the most important and prolific author in the history of medieval medicine. His work, as varied and extensive as deep and interesting, has a great impact in the context of Jewish literature in general.
This first volume includes two treatises: Regimen of Health and Treatise on Hemorrhoids. As in the other medical treatises, Maimonides does not limit himself to speaking here of specific ailments or remedies, but reveals at all times his conception of medicine in general and of medical praxis, in particular, being evident the erudition, intelligence and ethics of the greatest of the Sephardic savants.

This four-volume edition, translated and edited by Professor Lola Ferre, is the reprint of the first published Spanish version of Maimonides’ medical works. This first volume includes the treatises entitled Regimen of Health and Treatise on Hemorrhoids. The treatises contained in the other volumes are: Treatise on Asthma (vol. II), Commentary on the Aphorisms of Hippocrates (vol. III) and Medical Aphorisms (vol. IV).

He is undoubtedly the most important and prolific author in the history of medieval medicine. His work, as varied and extensive as deep and interesting, has a great impact in the context of Jewish literature in general.
Treatise on Asthma was originally written in Arabic by a nobleman who suffered from this disease. It deals with topics such as diet, drink, mood disorders, evacuation, sleep, massage and sex. In the last chapters, Maimonides talks about the methods of healing, the composition of drugs and concludes with various recommendations on health. For Maimonides, the disease of asthma lies in the brain and lungs, but it is bad habits, environmental conditions and the exacerbation of feelings the ultimate cause of their appearance. It is, therefore, a vision that integrates the body and the spirit, the man and his environment.

His work, as varied and extensive as deep and interesting, has a great impact in the context of Jewish literature in general.
Maimonides wrote his Commentary on the Aphorisms of Hippocrates about 1195. The commentary is preceded by an interesting prologue in which he explains the reasons that led him to write it: the importance of the author for his great wisdom; the difficulty of reading the work of Hippocrates, by knowing a series of premises that the reader does not know and, finally, because he considers that Hippocrates sometimes speaks in an unthinking or unordered way. Hippocrates (ca. 460 – 377 b.C.) was considered the «father of medicine». With him began a new way of understanding health and disease as natural phenomena, placing reason as the main instrument at the service of man, in order to achieve not only health conservation, but also prevention and healing of disease.

This first volume includes the treatises entitled Regimen of Health and Treatise on Hemorrhoids. The treatises contained in the other volumes are: Treatise on Asthma (vol. Análisis lingüístico y comentario exegético

Colección: Biblioteca Herder

Abstract

This commented edition in three volumes of the gospel of Mark represents the most profound, innovative and extensive commentary which the scientific exegesis has published so far.
The authors of this book worked directly on the text of the gospel, analyzing each passage using tools and methods of modern text interpretation and narratology.
In their exegetic work the authors always considered the huge amount of implicit references to the Old Testament, being convinced that in the Old Testament lays the greatest key to a deeper understanding of the Gospel.
This book is addressed to all kinds of readers. The intellectual reader, who has some knowledge of Greek, will have access to a huge amount of justifications and interpretations of the choices of translations, coming from around 300 classical philologists. The ordinary reader can ignore this scientific supplement and proceed directly to read the clear and rationally structured explications and interpretations of the text of Mark in the part of the book called «Reading».
The result of this current study is the discovery of a new and deep interpretation of the Gospel of Mark, offering unexpected and new aspects of this old text.

Diccionario Panikkariano

Abstract

Raimon Panikkar (1918-2010) is considered one of the most important thinkers of our era. His immense oeuvre is internationally recognized as one of the most innovative contributions to the philosophical, theological, intercultural and interreligious discourse of the 20th century.
Panikkar’s thinking was stimulated by Christianism as well as Hinduism, Buddhism and secular traditions, fact that turns him into an important bridge of dialogue between the Occident and Orient.

The present dictionary collects the main terms and concepts of this great thinker. It will be of interest and help for the readers of the works of Panikkar. First of all because it will help to understand his complex thinking, which many times is based on his very own concepts and terminology often created in a rather ad-hoc way.

It explains terms such as ontonomy, cosmotheandric and diatopical hermeneutics among others, and contextualizes the apparently common terms which Panikkar has designated with another meaning or given a new interpretation.

Furthermore, this dictionary includes explanations of some of the fundamental concepts of Hinduism and Buddhism, which had influenced Panikkar so much and which contribute a lot to the intercultural and most of all interreligious dialogue.

The authors of this dictionary are profound experts of Raimon Panikkar, whom they knew personally as their friend and tutor. They wrote their PhD thesis about his philosophical and theological thinking, and published various texts on his oeuvre.

Los libros sagrados en las grandes religiones

Abstract

The core fundamentals -

Even though in our modern society secularism and pragmatism have gained independence over the influence of The Bible, we can still find lots of traces of The Sacred Book in our daily life, such as biblical proverbs, images, maxims, and also biblical elements in literature (characters, constellations and situations referring to biblical archetypes) architecture, painting and music.

The sacred books of the mayor religions deals with the five major religions: Hinduism, Judaism, Christianism, Islam and Buddhism. Each religion is presented in three separate parts. The first part talks about their sacred books. It explains its different parts, categories and genres and how they are divided. Furthermore, it shows evidences between the Sacred Books and its relation to the Praxis of religion, and in addition, how specifically it marks the way the religion is lived. The second part shows more specifically the process and the circumstances in which certain texts happen to become part of a closed canon of «sacred», «revealed» or «inspired» texts, in order to clarify the historicity of the process of selection, showing that the selected text was mostly one of many possible candidates of texts to be declared sacred. The third part questions the social role which is being exerted by certain rigid postures of interpretation of the sacred texts and inquiry the purview of the resulting religious fundamentalism.

Fe, humanismo y razón

Abstract

The future of religion is a bright essay in which the sociologist Salvador Giner analyses with equanimity how the future of believing in the supernatural and the presence of god will look like. His inquiry goes beyond a sociology of religion, because even though he funds his arguments on secular ground, he never ignores the arguments of believers.
His essay has the purpose to widen our knowledge about the religious dimension in our contemporary days, given the fact that serious conflicts and cultural migrations transform our economic and political universe and our everyday lives. The purpose of this essay is to broaden our knowledge about the current religious dimension of mankind.

200 tareas en terapia breve

Abstract

200 Brief Therapy Tasks is a "toolbox" that offers psychotherapists of all orientations an array of technical resources and practical keys for applying them successfully, whether to families, couples or individuals.

Each task is presented in the form of a sheet, with a series of symbols in the heading to give a quick indication of its fundamental features. There is also a discussion of its indications and contraindications, what to take into account when using it, and its possible variants. Although most of the tasks described in this book are part of the systemic, strategic, solution-focused tradition, exercises are also adapted from hypnosis, cognitive behavioural therapy and positive psychology.

Mark Beyebach spent eighteen years as head of the Masters Programme in Family Therapy and Systemic Interventions at the Pontificia University of Salamanca, and as a teacher at the University's School of Psychology. Currently, he is co-director of the Postgraduate Course in Brief Systemic Intervention in Family Violence at the University of Girona. Terapia familiar ultramoderna

La inteligencia terapéutica

Abstract

Ultramodern Family Therapy. Therapeutical intelligence [Terapia familiar ultramoderna. La inteligencia terapéutica] This work gives an overview of systemic family therapy, including both the classic view – because it assumes crucial influences in the systemic model's historical background – and a novel exploration, in the sense that these influences are interpreted personally and the conclusions drawn from them constitute an original and, in some ways, unorthodox approach.

Along with some of the author's already-known concepts, like complex love and relationship nutrition, others are presented in orderly form to make up an original mosaic. Thus, a systemic theory of personality appears. While the dysfunctional aspect of this theory is linked to psychological abuse, it also considers the relational bases of psychopathology, seeking to propose therapeutic strategies that are consistent both with these bases and with the personal resources of therapists themselves.

Juan Luis Linares, a psychiatrist and psychologist, is a leading voice on systemic family therapy in the Spanish-speaking world. As a teacher of psychiatry at the Autonóma University of Barcelona and director of the Psychotherapy Unit and Family Therapy School at San Pablo Hospital, he is constantly involved in clinical, teaching and research work. As president of RELATES (the Spanish and Latin American Systemic Schools Network) he coordinates major efforts to consolidate a Latin understanding and way of practising family therapy.

His written works include: Identidad y narrativa. La terapia familiar en la práctica clínica [Identity and narrative. Family therapy in clinical practice], Tras la honorable fachada. Los trastornos depresivos desde una perspectiva relacional [Behind the Honourable Facade. Depressive disorders from a relational perspective], Del abuso y otros desmanes. El maltrato familiar entre la terapia y el control [Abuse and Other Excesses. Domestic abuse, between therapy and control].
